This made want to apologize to my late dad even if I used to think he wasn't really a good parent. If nothing else, he did instill certain character traits in me that allowed me to survive all kinds of hardship. As I got older I realize it's pointless to keep remembering the bad things in life, if anything, those only make the good memories even more valuable.
