All right, with 62 chapters, this manga is officially over and all translated in English with official translations. It stumbles a lot, has some stupid arcs and the MC, the teenage girl tends to grate my nerves a lot, but all in all it was a nice read with enjoyable characters and I think the author managed to write everything decently by the end, even if she stumbled in the middle many times.
Also, this might be the only manga in which both the love rival and main love interest are the best developed and best characters by a mile. Heisuke really is the best part of this manga and his relationship with Kota is very well developed and really fun to read, his gradual growth and development, analogous to Kota's was great.

And yes, there are 62 chapters, not 60, fix that please.

It’s cute in a superficial way, but overall Kako is extremely annoying and dumb, so it’s hard to like her when problems start arising. The author occasionally has her show flashes of determination so you think she will be growing as a person, but in the end it fizzles out and she just acts like an idiot again and has to be rescued. She’s the type of heroine that believes positive thinking and hard work can accomplish anything, and wanting to help everyone without actually being considerate of the people around her.

@calmbreez somewhat? Remember that it's a shoujo manga with her being the main character. She does gets called out, but it's not very satisfactory. I do think that the final arc was done fine enough.

My boy in blue and My boyfriend in orange are not by the same author. There were a few parts that I didn’t care for but overall it was a really good read. Personally, I thought the last chapter was super rushed given all of the hype and build up of starting their married relationship post Kako’s graduation. Anyway, a really good read overall and genuinely enjoyed the story.

This manga is pretty good. The first volume felt weird to me and I only kept going cause it was funny. But it gets better later on, like some arcs are really good. I'm happy I didin't drop it.

I dislike the fl. She is just a dumb, goody two shoes, stupid girl. But what I like is unlike other shoujo, people call out her dumbness here. Not like other shoujo where everyone thinks fl's dumbness saved them though it doesn't make sense; everyone knows she is dumb and scold her when she does stupid things and her friends, family love her despite that.

Overall I really like the manga
BTW Okami is the best thing in this manga. Also Kota and Jiro.

My thoughts on it after finishing it (contains spoilers), rated 6/10.

It was pretty good I guess, the characters were pretty different, not your usual cookie cutter types, the story was also fairly unique (to me anyway), being about cops and the world that comes with that job.

I did feel that the way the FL (Kako-chan) was treated by Yui and Tee-sensei was unjustified, they treated her way to badly like she did something wrong, when her only sin was not being born a genius, it's completely unfair and i hate the author for that.

For a moment there it looked like this manga was gonna show more than just your typical hand holding and kissing (they showed a little leg groping), but since she was underage at the time they stopped, which is understandable but they never continued after she was legal.

I was also quite disappointed in how they handled Yui's father at the end, i mean he was a horrible piece of shit that forced his underage (12-14 year old) daughter into prostitution and while they did catch him at the end, what happened to him ? if Yui didn't press charges would he even go to jail ? she probably did, but it was all just quietly forgotten. I get that this isn't that kind of story, but him not getting what he deserved ("on camera") is kinda infuriating.

The ending was super rushed, it was just glossing over 5-10 years worth in just one chapter (like an epilogue would i suppose)

Japanese manga endings never fail to disappoint, i mean it's a happy ending for most of the characters if not all, it just lacked any feeling, i mean how can a summary have any feeling ? it just fizzled out.

They really crammed as much drama into the last 10 chapters as possible huh 😂
Overall the manga is decent, especially for it’s time. Just make sure to have your shoujo glasses on when you read it so you don’t get frustrated.

The last chapter left me somewhat unsatisfied

even though every “good” person basically gets a happy ending, the happiness feels rather shallow.
[ol][/ol]Why did the sister have to marry some unknown French seaweed farmer, who even is this guy, we never even get to see him so his intro didn’t even matter.

[ol][/ol]Why did all the married couples immediately have to have kids including okami’s mom and new stepdad?
[ol][/ol]Ichika’s obsession with hei feels pretty inappropriate lol.
[ol][/ol]Who was the bad guy with the knife that stabbed Tee-sensei? It was never explained how he was or why he wanted to stab people at the orphanage.

It’s like the author had snippets/scenes she wanted to draw and had to force herself to make some sort of connection to make those scenes make some sort of sense which resulted in a very weak final arc.

Hei-chan and supervisor Yamamoto are definitely best character throughout.
