Cooking manga are not usually my thing (too much copy pasting recipe books and passing them off as "plot") but this looks to be more than just the usual lazy cooking story tropes.

As far as we can tell they let the author fuck around with the character writing without putting too much emphasis on the bread anymore in the later chapters. It's more like it's turning into a SoL rather than a fully-fledged baking manga
