It's precisely because it's shit that we enjoy it.
You think anyone watched High Guardian Spice or Velma because it was good?
No they were either hate watching, watching it with friends whilst high to laugh at it or they were a YouTuber.
HGS was a betrayal. It was something that was funded by people who wanted anime not a shittier version of Steven Universe
I think I will never understand how this got made AND lasted so long.
I can only offer you my theory. It was pitched as a isekai satire in a different but similar vein as The Eminence in the Shadow however where that series uses denseness and miccommunication for its humor, this series was going to be played 100% straight. That's why he wakes up in the hospital in chapter 50 having lost an arm and a leg, it would have ended on a fucking gag: a taste of paradise cost him an arm and a leg. It probably would have eventually cut to Muppet Freddy Kruger to end on "but was it a dream????"
However something happened no one expected: it became popular. It's at that point we see Lynn go back to his commonly used tropes Clark's 3rd law and other Sci Fi tropes. Nishina was originally supposed to be the bad guy that's why Galia doesn't refute that Nishina is the Jealous God. However something happened they didn't expect.... it continued its popularity thus necessitating a few RetCons like Nishina isn't the Jealous God and to bring in Kanejo it is also arguably at this point that Youta turns into a fucking idiot because until Arslayer he was depicted as relatively intelligent particularly in Sandorio.
Yeah, that too. Honestly, an arc of going to the moon to settle business there as the finale sounds really cool.
Actually now that I think of it Nishina's heel turn and the trip to the moon could be one and the same. Like I'm expecting Kenejo to be about as much of a threat as the Black Coat Man in Elfen Lied then they have to go to the Vagina moon to end the curse only for Nishina to reveal that this was all part of her evil plan.
