You knew his first panel was a death flag. I think that criminal is from the original parasyte story behind the glass. The story matches well with the sensing girl from the main story. Even what might have been a stronger psychic still suffers from the same eagerness to show how special and superior they are, they ignore all the death flags and run towards death.
