but in all seriousness, while this manga did kinda go downhill in quality for me due to unoki pushing back the confession for like so long, i respect his guts he showed this chapter and finally came out with it. In front of her mother, no less lmao.

So half of the fandom got baited into misunderstanding the plot and droppin the manga (almost included me).
I mean it was fucking weird to see the cliche rich overprotecting family arc coming out of nowhere even though toramaru said before they don’t appear cause they are working all the time and made it look like no big deal. Also her “I can’t see you anymore” was just she being hard on herself again, since brother-kun would warn unoki or something
