The big clue leading to this theory is the fact that Akeno knows that the MC saw her supposed brother drown.

HOW does she know that?

That and how the lil bro looked and acted exactly like her, but with shorter hair.

Also how the author zoomed in on her "brother's" eyes at death looking straight at MC from the water, and then cut to her eyes being the exact same in the present.

I completely fell off from Re:Zero when I realized it's just misery porn just for the sake of it.

I disagree. Seeing how all the characters -especially mc- act different against different events and actions makes it more interesting for me. I also don't think it is just a misery porn, as the mc tries to overcome the consequences

That's an interesting idea, that Mio is also in on it. Remember when Aika also somehow knew that Mio had asked Riku to talk to her after school way back at the beginning?

In general, Aika seems to know a lot of things she "shouldn't," both about the past and present. Almost makes me wonder if maybe there's some supernatural shenanigans going on, but we'll see. As long as we get the femdom ending I'll be satisfied lol.
