So our MC is cocky as hell and in the interest of not getting killed by people for having been struck by lightning he has decided to hide that fact so that people believing him to be weak will threaten his position and life with constant attacks. I fail to see how hiding this is the better option.

Unless this spirit can be stolen why would anyone target him for having a good spirit? Does that mean if he was to awaken as a six rank Huang then hermits across the land would come down to his small sect and just outright kill him?

@Drinkfist His logic is probably that having such a unique and powerful martial spirit would incentivise actually powerful people to outright kill him since his growth would be much greater than theirs. While having a weak one only makes the weak feel like they can bully the past genius since those who already have some strength would not care.

Wait, MC is actually like zenetsu from demon slayer, they both got hit by lightning, and are able to use lighting moves with their weapons.
