Also the bath scene really may have helped if some of the sfx were translated off to the side. Took me a minute to figure out the water was darkening.
I like the old man looking out for Noh. So far this series has exceeded my expectations. A little light on the fighting and overarching plot (besides raising kids)
I disagree with the Notes. I dont think the MC is one of the 5-Sovereign's at all. I believe his Master is certainly one of them, as well as whomever he fought when he tried to step into the Murim world which kept him from wanting to enter it after. Talk about bad luck. He seems strong obviously, but nowhere near their level. He even admitted to never being able to beat his Master anyway. I'm looking forward to his growth and eventual ability to fight with them though.
Also, I didn't know groups paid translators. I figured most just do it as a hobby. A translator making money on someone else's work without permission just seems wrong to me somehow and kind of scummy.
Yes, I'm more than aware of the hypocrisy of me saying that so simmer down.

I concur with your last (or second to last) statement about using paid translators. Hobby? All is fine and dandy. Getting paid for it? Feels like a job and a not-OK copyright infringement. Donation with patreon and Ko-Fi are different in my book, but the edge we walk on gets thinner and thinner, if professionalism and semi-professionalism creep into it via paid translators.

Surely the dead skin is just"impurities" that were expelled? It's a common trope in cultivation / Qi techniques that when someone cultivates, some "dirt" or something is expelled.

@undercurses The stories are connected via a same world (though they mostly take place in separate worlds), but they're largely disconnected for content, you should be fine reading them in whichever order.
