Yeah, I don't believe for a moment that that ominous drawing has nothing to do with her circumstances. You can't fool me!

As always, big thanks to @Rythyugn for collaborating with me for this release :)
Also, no release next week because I'm on vacation.

Two possibilities.
1-She is covering up the drawing being how she remembers some traumatic event, cliche.
2-The drawing was actually exactly that, a school assignment, but her face was shocked for a second because she thought MC had seen another drawing in the sketchbook that was actually important to her.

That part on page 22 when he was briefly stunned by her beauty or something.

I also doubt it was a school assignment. But that doesn’t mean it’s something super ominous.

This is a teenage girl who can’t communicate outside of writing and drawing. Two things that people have repeatedly remarked that she’s bad at. She has a lot of thoughts and emotions she can’t effectively express. That drawing may just be her way of screaming into the void to let out all those pent up feelings.

Despite the constant murders that happen in this series, the tone is still relatively light. So the drawing having some grim dark meaning behind it doesn’t really fit the tone so far. Of course the author could veer into that at any moment so who knows. We know next to nothing about this girl after all.

I think it's the second one. The drawing is pretty abstract, so she shouldn't be that scared after hearing he saw it.

Plot twist: it won’t even matter if it’s abuse or a school assignment (or both)… what if it’s never brought up again no matter how long or short the series is xD

It's nice to get some change of pace from all the murder. Will be interesting to see if the whole drawing thing actually leads anywhere, or if it ends up being nothing. In either case: Thanks for the chapter!
