Well, he isn't being overly familiar with her as far as in laws go but being boisterously loud makes me think he'd either be able to handle an energetic kid or end up leaving it all to the mom while he works but wouldn't be surprised if he was 'normal' and she just saw him through a lens that made it seem overwhelming as her POV or so even if no one was like "Man you need to hurry up and get married too"/stop being a neet and mooching off parents
