I think It‘s one of those possession stories, where the whole possession trope messes with relationships depth and dynamic and is not necessary. Wei Qingyu likely views mc as a different person(original owner of the body) with a related past, who is starting to redeem themselves. But if mc is an entirely different person, who has a different past, that perspective is wrong, and Wei Qingyu’s feelings may be misaligned.

Just wondering why the names is somewhat wrong? In chapter 16 Qi Qi called Ji Xiao "Sister Yang" instead of "Sister Xiao", and in this chapter Ji Xiao became Ji Qing then Ji Qingyun calling her "QingQing" instead of "XiaoXiao".

As a reader who finsihed reading the novel, that's why i can't help to notice some details.

Ji Qingyun is the father of the original Ji Xiao, and the uncle of Wei Qingyu, that's why Ji Xiao has no affection to him she's willing to hurt her own "father" in that world in order to save Wei Qingyu.
