I kind of wish the option to redo missions didn't exist. I feel that the consequences of not fulfilling Priasis' request on floor 25 the would have made the stakes higher later on in the story.
speaking from a game design perspective, it seens it is always more beneficial to decline all subquests, because you can then start it later without tiring yourself with the beginning of the main quest

I definitely understand this viewpoint, but at the same time, it's great for the purpose of this story. Failure's not allowed, growth is multifaceted, and the viewpoint is primarily focused on one character, who, for all intents and purposes, is the story.
Reminding readers of Priasis's mental durability while also displaying a key difference on why Party 1 is in the position they are, on top of showing that it's truly a party and not just Hans Solo.
