This. I loved the part with the isolated supercomputer, especially how it got crammed into the mobile phone. It can smooth over some dangers and lead to more important places when exploring - and in a more realistic manner than just getting lucky.
A possible solution could've been to stall out the cataclysm in MCs world, to give everyone a false sense of security and less reasons to act completely (and openly) ruthless. Or maybe limit how EVE and others interact with the big leagues, like the russia arc, which honestly didn't add much to the story.
