Meanwhile Sae has eyes like a PAUSE (I I) could they mean something ? or they're just crazy stuff....

Notice how at some point the guy just go "aahmmm... ima get out lo/" and disappears haha.

Now for the episode itself................I'm so disappointed in that guy, I had the feeling that Sae was getting the wrong impression but I'm not sure how crushing her love and throwing it in the dirt like that means anymore, where is this story going ? T-T why can't she be happy. It looks like we'll get answers next episode but I can't help but feel really sad. Think about it, Sae's life could've been soooo much different without Riko around, maybe she could've been bullied but also she could've made real friends, she wouldn't be hated just for being around Riko or not "meeting" the standard.

Perhaps when she was talking about shadows, she was talking about herself.

also you said Sae's eyes look like a PAUSE but I thought it looks more like a reel tape like the ones made for film or such

@dokidoki i noticed that panel while editing too. for a first series this mangaka definitely knows what she's doing.

edit: also i think you are confusing the names, because Sae (the light haired girl) definitely has vertical lines in her eyes. but maybe that's a tape reel design ive never seen?

i love the pacing and panel layouts, and the little details like Riko's bubbles always overlapping Sae's when she gets interrupted.

@serenata i noticed Riko's eyes in this chapter too, but didn't make the film connection. interesting. from what i've seen the author definitely leaves hints about whats do come in the details. (i.e. Riko's hand in the series art.)

really excited to see what comes next along with everyone!

@runrin thats what i said, that Sae aka light haired girl aka MC has vertical lines in her eyes and to ME they look like reel tape's like the ones for movies because the person I was replying to said it looked like a pause to them and they also said that Riko's eyes are like a revolver from a camera

but yeah I definitely feel Riko is gona use the dmg to her face as a way to get the other girls to bully mc or maybe the boy is gona snitch. I'm actually shocked people find Sae ugly since imo she's cute compared to Crazy Riko......also was it just me overthinking it or can Riko go into the darkness for Sae aka she can move between dark and light but Sae is always stuck in the shadow.....maybe I'm overreading it lol
