I swear, for most of this chapter I was conflicted between wanting him to love her back (because she deserves to be loved, certainly, and it's her choice who to love) and hoping she'll have to move on (because she deserves better than this bitter asshole).
It's great that he's made some sort of somewhat-sideways progress as a person at the end, and all, but it'd be good if somewhere in the future someone could pull his head out of his ass, where it appears to be stuck. ~w~
