This one is pretty much foreshadowed very early though, I personally have been expecting this ever since it's been revealed that she's from the future and he's dead.

None of the foreshadowing was explicitly tragic. None of this was set up in a way anyone was prepared for it. Were you expecting dying kids and dead husbands and abject misery with her knowing MC’s favorite foods back in time? That’s madness dude, it was fluffy romance for 50+ issues.

It wasn’t foreshadowed, time travel was, and just because you assumed the worst, people like me didn’t want or expect that

When the author shown her being extremely depressed for the first time remembering her previous life I immediately assume this will happen. I know must people lulled by the fluff, but the moment I know he's supposed to be dead in the future always stay in my mind while reading this, it's not Konosuba which treats "death" as a joke. Exactly. She was hyper-protective of Guanglin at the crosswalk, making a big deal about looking out for traffic, too. Anyone who thought this wasn't telegraphed was deliberately ignoring the signs because they didn't want to see it.

Can feel the (not so) subtle self-commentary of people being mad at this sad arc instead of getting the largely pure fluff of previous chapters.
As sad as this is, I do feel like these chapters give a lot of depth to characters in a way that's different from the misery porn that this kind of thing can sometimes be.

I think it's ok because balancing fluff and depression gives value to the happiness there is in life. It teaches people to cherish life before it's too late.

I respect people who dont remarry after their partner dies, like thats actually next level faithfulness and no one will actually judge you if you do remarry
