First, you can have glasses-wearing girls take them off and suddenly become beautiful, or have girls wearing glasses flashing those cute grins, or have girls stealing the protagonist's glasses and putting them on like, "Haha, got your glasses!' Functionally for the character Yvonne, in universe, the glasses would improve her quality of life. From my selfish perspective as a reader, I really don't want to see her in glasses Yvonne looks far less attractive in glasses. Huge downgrade. I hope we don't see her in them ever again; or at least rarely. As someone who wears glasses all the time, I've never seen the appeal of them.
