Agreed, though I do want to raise a point in that Shunin didn't help whatsoever. He kept sowing seeds of doubt right from the get-go despite not knowing anything. So while she is at fault for being distrustful, I'd argue that her distrust wouldn't have been nearly as bad had Shunin not consistently told her how the guy is a scammer, how she's an idiot for trusting him, this that and the otherBoth of them were at fault. She was wrong for being unnecessarily distrustful--I get that she had a bad experience in the past but that's no excuse to treat everyone like a scammer. She could have easily confirmed that he was telling the truth by either visiting his parents, or here's a good one, BEING HONEST AND OPEN ABOUT HER SUSPICIONS. Meanwhile, the guy clearly didn't like her that much. It's shitty to ask someone to marry you while not being direct about the fact that you only want to satisfy your parents' wishes.
Kind of wack relationship on both ends.
