honestly the way that he's that says this makes it seem like he had very fake Devotion to her in the first place. He was perfectly fine not being around her for a few years. And clearly already had a big attachment to kyosuke.

In my opinion her parents convinced him to just try to shoot his shot. Things got more complicated when he figured out who she was actually married to. Like he was more jealous that the guy got with someone else than the actual girl that he was chasing.

It's definitely a case of hiding yourself in the closet

I’m kind of confused where everyone saying the Itsuki shift to Kyosuke was out of left field. The guy has been cleaning and cooking for the guy for a while? Like so well that he wanted him to come back all the time? I don’t think it was that crazy of a turn. Plus he does open up to Itsuki and they do have emotional talks all the time. Not that big of a leap.

I think Chapter 8 was pretty solid enough on the hint that Itsuki holds some type of romantic inclination for Kyosuke. His affection for him was very similar to Kurumi. Holding "some type of romantic feeling" for Rui.

I enjoyed the chapter. It makes a lot of sense with how all the characters have been written up to this point. Not sure why people are so thrown by Itsuki’s actions.

He is also serving as a great push to make Rui face her actual feelings.

While Itsuki being Bi is funny, I think the more realistic reading is that it's in Rui's POV. Like she's projecting her feelings for Kyousuke onto Itsuki, and so his "live in maid" (no homo) proposal to Kyousuke is more of a threat than Itsuki's very direct threat to ruin their pretend marriage.
