@FredFriendly I find your application of the article about moral judgment hilariously absurd. Perhaps children can judge right or wrong, but do you honestly expect them to understand the relational and legal implications of divorce? That the children are well-versed in the laws about child custody and property rights? The very fact that the parents here are divorcing suggest that the root of the problem lies in the adults - that the adults made the wrong choices to end up where they are. If grownups can err and make their kids suffer like this, I fail to see why you expect the children to make better decisions or even be hold accountable for their decisions. Marriage, business, voting, driving regulations are established based on a designated age of legal adulthood for a very obvious reason.

Ouch this comic is too real. This is often what happens when a girl goes for that "hot bad boy" and marries him. Especially if that dude likes to drink, fight, and womanize. When he's getting drunk and cheating and maybe beating the kids, that's when she realizes that she should've listened to her parents and probably most of the rest of her family as well.

Children that age have little to no idea about the consequences, when a big decision like divorce is raised upon them. I'd say it's their mom's duty to be with her kids even if the kids don't necessarily say it because she knows their dad gets drunk, beats the older kid and does nothing to take care of them. I can't see the purpose of divorcing if she can't protect her kids since it's her fault for marrying an a**hole whether she knew or not and the kids certainly don't deserve to live like that for her mistake.
