That was so sweet!
Reminds me of the stuff animal I had, it was a pink teddy bear that I bought as a kid. I do say "bought" to make it sound like a normal purchase, cause in reality I tore open the plastic cover and all the wrapping, so my parents didn't have a choice. I have no recollection cause I was like 3 years old at best, but that's what my mother told me.
I always held it with me to sleep. It was like a companion, you could say.
And I had that stuff teddy for around 10 years, before we recycled the cotton in it for pillows. It was the longest I ever held a toy or stuff animal.
