One of the things I like about this manga over the anime. Every trainer has their own unique personality, battle style, team and goals. It's nice to see what type of trainer blue is compared to red . Future trainers like yello, gold, etc all also have their own unique personalitys like how yellow is the kind of trainer who prefers cuteness over usability. It's refreshing

This is ash not red, they really are going out of their way to show hom as incompetent. And what's up with the name and starter changes!?
Really not a great start, but will hopefully get better?
