Yeah, this is a bad first impression of a character in my opinion. I think it would be more believable if she was curt or terse in her speaking. Like with the backpack, I think a better response would be something along the lines of, "see that it is done." It's not necessarily rude, but it's not very friendly either. Her manner of speaking does not convince me that she "isn't a bad person," as her peers call her. Rather, she's kind of a cunt.

That was Komi San. Manbagi won, and then the issue ends and they were a couple and I was so happy. I didn’t expect them to last long, but they didn’t even last 1 issue before the author tore it away and said “no, this isn’t right”

If it's an actual harem, then everybody wins. Most "harems" are just multiple girls chasing after one guy.

However, what we have here is 1 guy and 2 girls. So IF she is a love rival, it would be a love triangle, not a harem.

However, there has been zero drama in the manga up till now, so I really don't see any starting now. What I can see is her becoming a good friend to both of them and helping them on their investigations and missions.

I bet the next chapter is a body or personality swap between the two girls.

She won for literally one issue in a spicy love hotel arc, then the next chapter the writer said "Nah fuck that" and had them instantly break up literally in seconds because she wasn't who he "truly loved" or some bullshit. I don't even care about spoiling, I've hated that series with a passion from that moment. One of the worst moments I've ever had reading romance mangas, fucking traumatized me

I love it when the rival actually manages to win. The rivals are usually better then the FMC anyways. If you need a rival to sell a love story then you are not writing a good enough plot and FMC.
