I liked the old art better, but mostly because the art is so heavily tied to the pacing.

The entire tone was a little more gritty (in the actual, non-ironic sense) and less light amd goofy in the original story, and the art really depicted that well (remember Kaoru decapitatimg soldiers in her anger?).
This art style makes the story seem more like a "light hearted romp" through the fantasy world, and even makes the bad guys' deaths mildly humorous; the other style made the deaths seem appropriately shocking, and implied that the world is a harsh place (in which our MC was bringing much-needed respite with her potions).

Now... it all feels like they're skirting the border of "gag-isekai," but still wanna be edgy.

I am glad that Francette got some boobies; she didn't need them, but her personality argued in favor of at least a C cup.
