In her case, probably just bothersome to make, rather than caring at all about the actual morality of it.

Guess they gotta make the nobles put in some hard work to put up with how much of a pain they've been

Tho maybe thered Be a failsafe if he knew other alchemists or "truth" is what he "thinks he knows" if not like a fake name his hire-er gave him , but getting a bunch of details thru someone investigating "normally " would be useful so she's not 100% dependent on her potions
