I wish there was a story where there was a vast array of situations in different aspects of the society. Some of which are actually good, some are corrupt, some are inefficient, there are variations of how the different places are run so there are completely different places that are good while organized different from each other and the same for corrupt, and inefficient. The world has so many possible ways to organize fail and succeed that having every single area of a society all having the same problem just feels like lazy writing, since normally the people in power have differences in the way they think.
