Tried this comic out on a whim and am disappointed to be proven right yet again about how uninteresting and typically corporate Korean comics seem to be. Everything about this is optimally produced stupidity. A cute mascot pet ferret thing letting the cool indifferent generic police guy (presumably love interest) into fmc's secret room not only immediately trivializes the setting and consequences of the plot/story, but also carries a strong clinical capitalist aftertaste. Forget a good story, let's add a cute furry thing and it will be sure to sell. Too bad Koreans make comics like they make pop music groups.

Genuinely why didn't she get caught before now if she's this careless? Asking the question in the story itself does not excuse the issue. Does she change her voice, too? Why didn't /won't she just kill him, or pull some bullshit magic brain wipe potion? What are the limits of this magic system, author convince? Who cares, here's some cute furry thing that likes cubes, take it or leave it. I feel bad for the artist who's talents are being wasted drawing swill for this publisher, probably made to work for unfair compensation and use ugly SketchUp renders for backgrounds, despite apparently not knowing how to get rid of the ugly stroke effect on the smaller geometry.

In my opinion this comic has no business claiming the drama, fantasy, and romance tags. The drama is kindergartener tier, the fantasy elements are limited to a vaguely European theme and potions whos limits and use seem to be whatever the plot needs, and the romance is just... Why? This is trying to be everything and so it is nothing.

The worst part of this mascot is that the MC is too dumb and should never have lived long enough to even begin the story.
  • Etiher the pet is smart and should know to be careful around strangers and potions. The kind of accident that happens on chapter 4 must have happened multiple times with other random potions before. Some are dangerous and the MC is apparently just leaving them around. I could only assume the pet should know to avoid them. Except it doesn't. The MC herself points out that it sleeps at random places and falls often.
  • Or the pet is really as dumb as it seems to be here and the MC should have taken lots of precautions: not leaving the button to open the "batcave" accessible to it; not leaving potions lying all around the lab to be knocked down by a clumsy animal; training the pet to not accept food from strangers... Not doing the minimum to secure her secrets and dangerous experiments from her own pet means she can't have survived long enough to make a name of herself as the "witch raven".
As it is, even the detective knows that she's too stupid to be left to her own devices. When a character in the story can point out how stupid the plot is, the plot is really awful.
