I swear I really never hate on manga/webtoon/ Manwha/ other to much but this takes the cake. Because I have read the Light novel or Web novel version. I swear it is better then this webtoon. It tries to act cute and stuff but no it actually has suggestive and stuff and actually has good character building and developing then this shit. ugh this piss me off I hope they fix this kid style webtoon looking book. I was hoping it to be a actual manga when i saw it. If anyone wants to read the web/ light novel for English's it on ZKY translation site. and it pretty good and funny

2 reasons, well actually 3 but i'll get to the third one.
The first is that it is far cheaper to do the webtoon format than actually pay a artist to draw it, since you can use pc assets and do the work for less, the second reason is related to the first, since webtoons are easier to make, you can also put out more content in a shorter amount of time, so a monthly manga might be weekly if a webtoon.
Finally the third is with the advent of ai art, expect this to become even more common as it's going to make the first reason even easier potentially allowing some mangaka's that wouldn't be able to before to self publish.

Whether this is a good thing or not is up to you.

I think the bigger reason is that it is more accepted for webtoons to be sparse panels separated by huge swathes of white space, padding that used to be fractions into being chapters
