Oh, I think I get it now. This is what they meant with having to team up to fight the predators. Each of the people featured in the story so far has slightly different skills or personality traits that complement each other:

• Minji has a fearless personality and is a great fighter. Also descended from a shaman.
• Yun-yeong seems to have the best strategic mind and has the murderous double who knows a lot about those things.
• The new girl can sense the predators' emotions even from a distance and knows when they're approaching.
• Min-ho seems to have the ability to transmit and amplify damage to the creatures.
• And Silen seems to have the ability to interact with at least some of them in a rational way.

We might have a squad in the making.
