Assault and violence for basically no reason?

Also, at some point in the later chapters, first he rips a car door clean off it's hinges with little effort, but then next, he kicks a woman and is surprised she flew away?!?!
I'm surprised she didn't explode in a gory mist of meat and blood!! WTF is wrong with you!?!
