This is just kinda lame now. Anyone else get a feeling the author has like, a ryona fetish?

The author seems to make a point with this habit from Flora to beg.

Both the bandit and the Prince point out the same thing to her: begging will never be enough to get what you want. It serves no purpose except humiliating herself.

Maybe he purposely makes Flora naive and weak at the beginning, so that later she has an epiphany and become ruthless in order to protect her Princess.

Wow, that was unexpected. Maybe they're after the princess to use her as an excuse to cause a revolt against the queen?

@Kirin-kun there's a problem to that, Flora is already ruthless she is an able swords-woman, and does act quick and with moderate effectiveness, when she gets the chance she kills, wounds, and doesn't shows mercy, her grovelling and begging is not, by any means at all, because of a lack of conviction or self realization, it is because she is physically weak and not skilled enough to kill the others like she killed the rest of the chumps.

She already knows that begins is useless, and that she has to act to get things her way, she learned that the hard way when the princess was sent to the convent, however if at the end of the day they beat her up and capture her, then all she can do within the possibilities of the powerless position of a defeated person, is beg.

The only thing the epiphany would change for a situation in which she can't physically act because she is literally bound, would be to remain calm and think of a way to help the princess and herself.

But! that wouldn't require an epiphany, hell no, that would require an entire character change, because beyond being naive, she is ignorant and uneducated, impulsive, simpleminded, she lacks the requirements for proper stratagems, to the point that the plan to let the princess know about the visiting knight, by using herself as a decoy, wasn't even hers, but came from her nun friend, that's how far away from a change of situation Flora is.
