This should be called, how to screw your own series with shitty side characters that have at times even more screen time than your MC. And i am not talking about the transvestite that a lot of people here seem to hate, i liked that character.
I could stand this situation to a certain point, but in the end i couldn't, i dropped it.

I saw the anime once years ago and wondered why there wasnt a season 2. I found the manga a few months back and been reading it, this is a wholesome af manga. More people need to get on this.

For people who are curious if one should give this a read. People don't hesitate. This is a gem of a story about fashion designers. I don't know how accurate it shown but I most certainly am sure that one will love the way they portrayed it. The characters are not likable from the get go but you'll slowly will be able empathize with them. I just want to add one more thing to all this. The male lead is eccentric, quirky, cunning and very funny. I can assure you that his character is vastly different from the ikemen males you usually get to see in shoujo and josei mangas. He is absolutely the very best character and the reason why this story is good. Make no mistake though. The female lead might not have much of a personality but she has a great character development in the 80 chapters. Do not read this for romance. Read this as a sol/drama and witness one of the best josei story!

A really great read.

If you liked the anime, the manga is more of what you love. I loved the Amars themselves from minute one.
the middle drags a bit, with a lot of info dumping on the fashion industry.
But the ending is really pleasant, fun, and heartwarming (not particularly romantic though).

edit to add: The author's stories at the end of each volume are really cute as well.
