Differently from the guy above, I just finished binging this series and absolutely loved it. I feel like the age-gap aspect has been handled well, and really enjoyed the development of the characters (though I was a bit surprised by some sudden changes of behaviour, but that was shown in one of the special chapters that come after ch. 110). I don't mind the SoL part, as that's a normal part of life in general, and it worked as a nice breather after the more dramatic parts. As for the drama, my suspension of disbelief was pushed, but it didn't break, this series is a romantic comedy at it's core, and even when the situation got darker, the tone of the story didn't really shift, and I found the plotholes really easy to forgive and move on.
I also found it funny how after accompanying and coming to understand the characters well enough, it made some parts at the end a bit predictable on how they'd be solved (though the tension was high for me at other points, when some moments brought suspicion to some characters regarding who was the culprit for what, and the relief when it was revealed was as significant later), even with everything that happened, and how the characters have grown, they were still themselves at the core, just more experienced and wiser (which made it even funnier to see some situations repeat, but with different context and perpetrators).
Another thing I like about this series, is how it treats it's characters as characters/people, and not caricatures or plot devices, even if some are pushed a bit too much to fit their role on the story, you can clearly see the careful consideration the author had for them, even when some are more relegated to the side than others, everyone in the story had their full circle, which is really nice.
Overall, for me this was a fantastic read and I'm really happy to have come upon this series.
For those curious about this series, I recommend giving it a shot, and don't worry about the male lead's antics so much if they turn you off, he's a brat, and there're relevant reasons for him being the way he is, which only make it compelling seeing him learn and grow as the story develops, how that reflects on his behaviour and how he comes to positively influence others with similar struggles. The relationship he develops with his mentors is neat too.
