I don't really *get* the Psychological tag. I get psychological thrillers, but what about drama? What the hell's a psychological comedy supposed to be? Does Coming of Age count as Psychological, since that's an entire huge subgenre? Is it just mind games? People monologuing? That's stupid. It just seems like a roundabout way for referring to "deep" series rather than an actual sub-genre/theme.
Anyway, rant over. Here are some recs from a mix of those genres that might be up your alley.
Chi no Wadachi
Aspergirl
The Kaiji/Akagi franchise.
Himizu
End of Goldfish Kingdom, and anything really by Imitation Crystal.
Most of
Jiro Matsumoto's stuff has some psychological component to it, and it's all really good. Freesia and Alice from Hell are especially great, but Becchin to Mandara's the most "psychological".
