I thought this was cute and I really want to like it, but the characters just keep making dumb decisions while ignoring obvious solutions. Like dude, you don't propose to a girl you barely know. The correct course of action would be to stay friends until she graduates/ turns 18, then start going out if she's still interested. It's not like they'll even have to wait that long. IIRC she said that she's a senior.
