I walked between feeling this great and mediocre at the same time.
Put aside the art, the story has a strong grip. From A to Z, everything was centered on the warriors who were trapped by their past and had nowhere to go. Their place is a battlefield, their pride is to die with their responsibilities. I think this portrait of misery has a strong emotional drive even though it can't be called dramatic.
I will not blame anyone who is disturbed by the position of the main character. It was a strange instability when talking about his mental state, and his unusual physique. But it makes me curious and sad because he is not pure human -- I mean, he is an experiment that is beyond common sense and shows how crazy the world of science is, and there is no button to restore it all at the start. I love how he suffered and regretted that his cursed hand killed many people. This might sound strange, you can see I'm bluffing a part of him but I also feel that his dangerous shell can explode at any time.
Still, a recommended reading. I also like the romance part. It's just...nice. Heart-warming and sad. AND FUNNY! I like .... - what else is their name? Anyway, it's the sister of lieutenant Alice.
