If it was that important to mark clones, you'd think there would be more than just an earing, and you'd need a proper medical certificate if you had something like a missing ear to prove it wasn't to hide you were a clone.. Also, that really sucks for anyone brought back as a clone, that even the successful ones with all their memories are looked down on for being marked as a fake; if they actually thought they were perfect recreations, etc, then you shouldn't be marking them to begin with, you're basically just bullying the dead at that point making them your vanity pet.
