tbh, I don't know what you can squeeze more than that. After this arc, I don't think it'll be good to go on another drama to test what our main couple want. More like continue to communicate better on what they want really, which is the whole premise for the plot.

Props to the author, this is not an easy story to write. You never know how the readers will feel about a sudden love interest coming and leaving as fast as Mao did. And on top of that, we got her story wrapped up, and because of her, we got major(seemingly) progress between our main characters.

Penance, she wanted to be punished for cheating. It's still irredeemable thing she did. Why did she have to cheat, if she was just going to tell him the reason anyway? She knew this would hurt him, but wanted to teach him a lesson? God her logic is all kinds of fucked. She basically has her cake and ate it. There is no such thing as "overriding" sex. She will be keeping mc's dna all her life (studies show this). I feel bad for the husband, obvious he couldn't speak up do to some issues, she should have helped him over come that, instead of getting tagged team to prove a point.

I think treating this like any other form of cheating is doing a disservice to the story. I personally didn't like this detour because we already had a love rival that has been thrown away but for what it was it was fine.

We have an ex who is in an open relationship and feelings aside, that was a choice made by two people who did talk to each other but both of them couldn't be honest. She didn't want to teach her husband a lesson, she wanted to make him jealous and active, and he was (actually for real this time) too cuck to do anything about it. She doesn't have her cake because while she wanted sex, what she really wanted was to have sex with her husband. That's why she felt bad about it. That's why its on both of them for not being fully honest with their feelings to not rock the boat and end their relationship. This is actual maturity in "cheating".
