I have a feeling both authors and readers hate dragons' dragon forms. Especially when a dragon is very important for a plot.

In these series, a dragon supporting protagonist appears first time as a dragon. Her dragon form is never seen again once she changed into a human. Even in fights where a human form is not strong enough.

Dragons have cool designs and one of main protagonists is a dragon, but we barely see a dragon supporting protagonist, who appears in almost every chapter, change back. Even his ex, who - unlikely to a dragon supporting protagonist, who has problems with heart injury - doesn't have any health issues preventing her from using her true form, barely changes back.

Yes, around 40% of plot is an off-screen sex and fetish, but other 60% is a still life and an actual plot. Almost everyone eround a main character is a dragon in disguise and even a main character is forced to pretend being a dragon, changed into a human - but not only a lead female character barely changes back, but even all dragons around almost never change back into dragons.

One of main characters has a great dragon form, both badass like Deathwing and adorable like Toothless. The only character (though she is not a main protagonist) to get a figurine (plush toys and minor merch do not count - the entire main cast got them) - of a human form only (remember Yu-Gi-Oh! constantly creating dragon merch?), as well as almost a year-long gaps between every changings back into a dragon.
Also I have a feeling dragons' dragon forms from series The Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime or Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid are disliked by fans.
No, I don't hate dragons' human forms and I can see their importance - but I don't want dragons' human forms being turned into the way to get rid of dragons' dragon forms.
