You can't blame MC at all(I know you didn't) with how FL has stated on ch 1 No to dating and then every time MC tries to talk to her after seggs she Bolts out of the room leaving MC unable to talk AND THEN on ch 3 she says she only likes him for his dick once again saying NO to dating, you would have to be a INSANE pyscho to IGNORE all those STRONG denials and STILL try to ask her to date so yea can't blame MC at all cause how in the fuck are you supposed to take the lead with her LMAO
Infact I would prefer her to get cucked and MC to fuck other women to maybe get her moving because MY GOD I have never seen someone self sabotage herself this bad as FL
This sort of reminds me of my real life experience. Relationships that start with sex or sex-adjacent acts as the original priority tend to often go the way this goes, maybe somewhat less toxic like not telling the person you're into that you only want them for their body; but sex and romance are to some degree separate. You're skipping most or all of the steps that would normally occur when growing closer and more intimate, and for that reason in my experience this can cause instability.
Why? Because many people are not of the "I'm into this person, full send immediately" variety. They're afraid of it not being the right time, of ruining the relationship, that this doesn't mean as much to their partner as it means to them, of being hurt. So there's a lot of caution, a lot of analysis, or overanalysis. Getting back to the story, I think this is basically the main conflict in a nutshell; they both believe the other person is only there for sex, but for whatever reason we only really see the female lead be
visibly problematic about this, as opposed to the male lead, where we generally see this insecurity via his thoughts. I think I might need to reread, but it does feel like the female lead is the main driver of progress just as much as she is the main driver of increased confusion. And I suppose these outbursts she has are supposed to be cute or charming, but I agree that they are kind of annoying. That said male lead is definitely showing a bit of weak, defeatist-type behavior.
To cap it off, I did say that relationships as portrayed here can be hard to convert to something beyond that, but it's not impossible; really depends on if both parties are willing to put the work in, or even if one party is making an extra effort and the other is receptive. I think that's going to be the general story progression; hope the female lead stops crashing out
