I mean, it's fine for your partner to have a dating history. Functionally unavoidable past a certain age even (although it might be different these days). For people who are stressed out about "used goods" or whatever, I'm not going to moralize on that but she didn't seem too interested in any of the guys she was dating in that flashback, and dating someone doesn't necessarily mean you end up doing anything physical or sexual with them. If anything, this juxtaposed with the current relationship between the male and female lead just reinforces how much they love each other (even if one of them isn't ready to be honest yet).


On another point, I find it so hard to imagine something drawn with this artstyle not being extremely wholesome. I mean, look at how cute it is. They're adorable.

She's definitely having sex in the last boyfriend flashback, but yeah that was their senior year of high school, so it'd be more surprising if they didn't.
