Being from the area, it's funny to see the establishing shots drawn here. The pictures of the city are from San Francisco, which is 40 miles / 65 km north of Silicon Valley. The office building is the Google headquarters. The street is Santana Row in San Jose. Kinda neat to see it drawn (or traced rather).

Anyways, looking from outside, I personally always group AI and quantum computing together as fads used to extract money from investors. So it’s interesting both are featured in this chapter.

game dev have been using procedural creation for quite some time.
many openworld game have procedural creation in it.
that's why in this chapter they specifically mention, "using ai to create the backdrop" kinda thing.

in the same vein, game dev will NOT use ai to create key art. that thing is crucial for the patent and establishing copyright for the game main asset like the character design and such.

and yeah, its interesting they outright said developing quantum computing is still not making any money right now. its still quite faraway dream.
not to mention they also mention quantum computing is not all powerful system

People didn't notice the switch from camera 1 to camera 2. And once you look at the footage you assume you watched the correct one, and dont go digging for it again.

Rio could after the fact delete herself on camera 1.

The temporal setting of this manga continues to be wacky, their bill gates equivalent has a fully formed baby but Kana is still in high school lol.

Also, really funny timing on releasing the translation of this chapter, Caltech just unveiled a quantum computer with over 6000 qubits, enough to theoretically break the largest currently-used RSA keys (if they want to).

It feels safe to say that we are at a point where any non-quantum-resistant cryptographic algorithm is no longer practical security.

The "tricks" are becoming weaker. This is why I prefer CMB that focuses more on history instead of pure tricks. I wish they would give CMB some love.

Yeah the original prequel was better. Very few cases of this sequel have good or even plausible solution. To be fair, that's expected. Conan's murder tricks aren't as good as they used to either.
