I just reread this. Man, this really is THE KanaxTouma chapter. It encapsulates everything about their relationship. Literally the only thing holding them back from the 'next level' so to speak is Kana, but she seems to enjoy what they have right now. Touma basically just goes along with what she wants. Even the various subplots tie into it, with the cherry blossoms metaphor. Both of them are fine with the formless and nameless relationship they have right now.
