only if they're done tastefully. if it's like "what are we some kinda suicide squad?" winks at camera then my respect for the writers plummets. same thing when they try to integrate 'modern' slang or trends in an attempt to get the audience to point at the screen and say "I KNOW THAT THING". it's so often done poorly and i feel insulted watching it.
