Think of it as just an imaginary thing, then. It barely comes up, and the idea of her being able to figure out what kind of movies people like by getting close enough to them to be able to lick them without serious consequences is a handy explanation for something much more mundane: she knows a lot about movies and what their appeal is. So if she gets to know someone, she can make a good guess about what they like.

I don't actually think there's much hope for prez to get together with mc, would be cool but my guess is that lots of people would be mad about it even if it's well done, many people here seem to like the idea and I think it would be fitting for this manga but I'm sure most people would get mad that fmc "lost". So while I would love for it to turn out that way I simply don't think it's likely.
