Seems like the original, in-universe manga belongs to the class of romcom with a rather pathetic MC. Although that's certainly a huge portion of them. All the girls keep falling for a guy who's hardly able to put in any effort and who's not really remarkable in any way. Already neo-Tsukasa seems far more solid as a character than the so called romcom main character.

Meh, he's fine IMO. It's established he is actively pursuing the OGHeroine while evading a rich yandere. Just him actively trying puts him pretty hight on my book. Also, he's stated to be quite remarkable, he's the one who think's he's lame due to Yandere-chan.

I wonder the Yandere can be convinced to not pursue the Protagonist temporarily by statistics. Just show her the data that only 2% of Highschool relationships last through college.
