Something I've noticed for a few chapters:

Whenever she's gone back to fight a monster, the director/her grandpa refers to Flare as "he". But it seems like they're aware of what she's wearing when she fights, so it's not like they all see some generic sentai/Ultraman sort of costume that would obscure her gender as if she's not wearing a yukata/her school uniform (with skirt) or her girly pajamas.

Is that just a translation issue because Japanese tends to indirectly refer to subjects of sentences rather than using pronouns and the MTL is sticking in "he" as if it's guessing the subject would be male? Or is there some significance to it?

I still can't tell if the tapes exist before she goes back in time or not. I know the mom is being her "manager" but is she like, withholding the tape until after the fight happens? How does she know it happens? If the tapes don't exist before she fights then do they just pop into existence? I cannot accept this silly little romance comedy until these questions are answered

Wouldn't read into the pronouns since Japanese doesn't really use them.

She is a mysterious glowing giant though, clothes included. They explicitly aren't sure about her gender during the first fight since they speculate she might be a girl rather than just knowing from the school uniform.
