aside from him being a cheating bastard- I like the clothes of this series, would 10/10 steal.
and while there is nothing historical about this series, the fact that other nobility have beautiful clothes speaks a lot about their status <3
Not even that. I'm sure there are rendezvous spots accessible by nobles all over the place.
He just had to not be so audacious about it as to do it in his main house.
Or walk around town with another woman openly, like he did in this chapter.
Honestly, it feels like someone set up the engagement with FMC for him, because he comes off like a complete idiot.

fairly sure the only reason the fl fell for his bs is:
That she thinks that he's the one that saved her when she fell into that pond, which gave her the wrong preception of his personality
without that she would probably have catched on
Though we should keep in mind how fate/fortune works
The fortune teller specifically stated that she has all the wealth fortune but no love fortune and the only way to reverse that is to find her soulmate/go west (not sure what the direct wording was rn, but meeting the duke is what reversed her love fortune)
So it is plausible to believe that as long as she didn't meet the ml, she would have contiued to meet and love scum.
How did FL even fell for this guy if he's this incompetent at hiding his shittiness though, found out he cheated and then she turns into sharp minded boss lady lul
I'm into this, but per usual the premise is a bit whack
