It was a decision by Makeship that I only saw at the end. I don’t think it’s too late to ask them to change it to the side of the hips for the production though, so I’m thinking of doing that.

Looking at the opening letter: "Most of my income comes from the illustrations..." -- it is what it is, but just saying; as the comic reader, it's kinda jarring to see the author reflecting on the pacing, promising that the "comic is not being side-lined", but then also see a fuckton of anything-but-the-chapter art pieces, so it's obvious where your actual priorities lies, so it's kind of annoying to see an apologetic letter with mixed signals.

You obviously can do whatever you want, I already anticipate the downvote equivalent on this platform. This is just my way of conveying how it all comes across to me personally. It's pretty rare to be potentially engaging with the author, and this is one of those things in manga that I usually really dislike, and usually just gloss over (i.e: the overly apologetic author-notes and such) -- that I wish authors would do without.

I.E: Share why delays happened, give a rough prediction when the next release will happen, and that's good enough. Say too much (like here), and it can easily just rub people the wrong way, even if it may amount to nothing, since in this instance, I'm not even giving you any money, here.
Feel free to ignore me.

Are you referring to the bonus artworks at the end? They’re still overwhelmingly a small part of the overall release, with each pages being more complex on average too, so that sounds very unfair.

I don’t feel I was that apologetic in the preface page either… If anything I more said it in a light, comedic tone by adding a « probably » before the only use of the word, over being some super serious apology that should receive any real focus. At the end of the day, I do think I don’t have anything to seriously apologize about as it’s released for free anyway.

Not sure why you’re focusing so negatively hard on those details.

What I meant to say, is that I felt like I kept pressing "next" for about 6 pages until I started hitting the actual chapter, and all I could think of was the preface: "Sorry for the delay...I'm not side-lining this project, but...", and seeing pictures of the merch you're selling -- and all I wanted was just to hit the content of the chapter.
(Also, regarding the "apologetic" thing -- with age, I grew extremely exhausted with Jap authors kowtowing in their to-the-readers letters over anything, so my mind automatically goes there. It's not about ya personally.)

In the best way possible, please do try to take that as "someone says the chapter can flow a bit better if I change a few small things" (i.e: have less fluff at the start of the chapter, place it at the end, or distribute it between em).
EDIT: The other best way to take it, is to ignore crazy people like me who can get peeved over small things.

Also, while I have your attention, I'd love if you'd change your font. Sorta.
There are certain letters, like T and I, that seem to be italic'd when capitalized (T, I), as if to make almost a sarcastic emphasis on the word, where it doesn't seem intentional. Especially the "I".
e.g:

Couldn't find any "T" examples, but I recall seeing something like: "I CAN'T DO THAT", which just seemed odd.

Six pages…? The chapter only has 3 pages before it starts, one is the preface, there is a single image for the plush, and then it’s a detailed recap of the chapter which I think is plenty relevant since I include a brand new map of the guild hall. You’re making it sound like I added 6 pages of ads lol.
